A Lagos team that builds software businesses run on

Team Darphiz designs custom software, AI agents and automation for companies that have outgrown spreadsheets and manual follow-up. Since 2022 we have shipped more than 50 projects for fintech, commerce, health and education.

Based in Lagos. Building for clients across Nigeria, Africa, the UK and the US.

We started with one Upwork profile and no room for excuses

In 2022, Daramola Afeez started taking contract work on Upwork. No office, no investors, no company to point to. One engineer, one profile, and clients who had never met him and had no reason to be patient.

The first projects came from people he already knew and trusted, and they joined him. That pressure shaped how we still work: the person who scopes your project signs off the build. Nothing is handed to strangers, and nothing is promised that the builders have not agreed to.

More than 50 projects later, across Upwork, referrals and direct briefs, clients stay because we say no early, ship in small testable steps, and answer for the result after launch.

You talk to the person who builds it

Four of us lead every project. Eleven long-term specialists join when the work needs them. You will always know who owns your scope, your timeline and your launch.

Daramola Afeez, founder of Team Darphiz

Daramola Afeez

Founder, Backend Engineer and Cloud Architect

Afeez has spent six years building backend systems and the cloud infrastructure behind them, working in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and Go on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. He leads architecture reviews on every project, so the scope you agree is the system you receive.

Joseph Abayomi, product designer at Team Darphiz

Joseph Abayomi

Product Designer

Joseph designs what we ship, from the first wireframe to the screen a customer actually uses. His work covers fintech, marketplaces and health platforms. He builds design systems so the interface stops being an argument in month three.

Olamide Ajayi, full-stack and mobile developer at Team Darphiz

Olamide Ajayi

Full-Stack and Mobile Developer

Olamide builds both sides of a product: the Next.js and React front ends, the Node and PostgreSQL services behind them, and the React Native apps people carry in their pockets. He trained as a mechanical engineer, so he still reads software as a system with load and failure points.

Funmilola Amusan, operations and finance at Team Darphiz

Funmilola Amusan

Operations and Finance

Funmilola keeps the numbers honest. She handles the accounts, the invoicing and the project records that tell us what we actually earned. She is part-way through her qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and has training in data analysis.

Field notes from live systems

We write for owners deciding what to build next. Each guide answers one buying question: what to automate first, what an agent can actually do, or when a virtual assistant beats software.

You can read the thinking we bring to a scoping call before you book one.

Tell us what manual work is costing you

Send a short brief about the process that keeps breaking: orders, follow-up, records, payments. We reply with what we would build first, what it would take, and whether we are the right team for it.

“Working with Darphiz was one of the best decisions we made. They understood our fintech needs right from the start and delivered a fast, secure, and user-friendly platform.”
