About
I build software from the database up. That means choosing the schema, designing the API, and writing the interface that sits on top, then keeping all three honest as the product changes.
I studied Mechanical Engineering at Ekiti State University before moving into software, and I still read a system the way an engineer would. Load, failure points, and what happens when a part gives out under pressure. That habit has been useful more often than I expected.
What I have built
Most of my recent work is on CIP TopUp. I built the mobile app with Expo and React Native, and I built the web application and the admin panel that run alongside it. The backend services behind all three run on Node.js, with PostgreSQL for storage and both Prisma and Drizzle for the data layer.
Building one product across all of those surfaces taught me more than taking on separate small jobs would have. A change to a data model has to survive four interfaces, and finding out what else depends on a field is a job I would rather do once.
Earlier I worked on Chinese Wheels, a cross-border marketplace, and on HealthDataHub, a health data tool built with artificial intelligence.
Tools
Most days are TypeScript, React, and Next.js on the front end, with Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL behind them. For mobile I use Expo and React Native. Where a project is small or needs to load fast, plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript still do the job better than anything heavier.
